Limited to five hundred copies, of which three hundred are for presentation to the members of the Print Collectors Club. This is number four hundred and eleven.
Very scarce.
Illustrated with sixteen plates and twelve in-text figures. Collated complete.
A copy of the lecture delivered to the Print Collectors Club on January 20th, 1925, on the origin and character of the present school of wood engraving and woodcutting.
Written and delivered by Noel Rooke, a British wood-engraver and artist whose ideas and teaching made a major contribution to the revival of British wood-engraving in the twentieth century.
CONDITION
In the original quarter cloth binding with paper covered boards. Externally, smart with minor bumping to the extremities and the odd mark to the boards. Minor fading to the spine. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are very bright with light scattered spotting.
