"Nobodys Friend (But thats not where it ends!)" is the first picture book in the series of picture books about the fun-filled adventures of Perry, a resourceful pygmy-possum, and his friend Perky, an adventurous quokka. It contains 5 delightful stories (with subtle life lessons) which are designed to be read to children up to 7 years of age, although older children who are good readers may enjoy reading them too. The paperback and hardback are printed in Premium Colour.The synopsis of each story is as follows:"Nobodys Friend": Perry the pygmy-possum wakes up after several weeks-which he calls his torpor-time-to find that the land where he lives ventes exceptionnelles has been cleared. Hes all alone and sets out to find a friend. He meets Perky, the quokka."Perrys Promise": Perkys risky behaviour results in Perry solving the problem of lack of land and gum trees for the koalas. "Predicaments": Perry and Perky face problems with a ships cat while theyre on a cargo ship and prove themselves to be true-blue friends. "Perky Paves the Way": When Bree McRabbit and her mother order carrots for lunch on board a cruise ship travelling from Ireland to Perth, they are told there arent any left. Detective Inspector Buck OHare is called in to investigate and Perky paves the way for solving the case. "The Patients": Perry and Perky find themselves in a wildlife hospital following an accident. While theyre recovering, they are invited to attend the school that the hospital had built so its young patients could keep up with their schoolwork. Perry and Perky join in the conversation about kindness and teasing.

The Author is a former primary school teacher with a Master of Education degree. Currently, she is tutoring students in Maths and English after school hours and writing childrens books. She intends to tutor for many years yet because she loves helping children to improve their school work and to improve their attitude towards it and themselves.

Prior to writing childrens stories, most of the writing the author had done was related to her studies and work as a teacher. She did enter two caption writing competitions and won both, and while this isnt story writing, it is evidence that she can be clear, concise and humorous.

The story has an Australian flavour. She writes not just to entertain, but to teach (subtle) wise life lessons that are relevant no matter what age the reader is. All stories are positive, wholesome and educative.
