A first limited edition of this work, limited to two hundred and fifty copies, of which this is numbered twenty-two. This copy was one of the first fifty copies printed, thus it includes the matching slipcase and four signed poems by David Gascoyne, John Heath-Stubbs, Harold Pinter, and Kathleen Raine. Compiled by Steven Halliwell, with a tribute by Jeremy Reed.
This copy is also signed by Alan Clodd, Steven Halliwell, and Jeremy Reed.
This volume explores the history of the Enitharmon Press, an independent British publishing house specialising in artists books, poetry, limited editions, and original prints. It was founded by Alan Clodd in 1967, who named it after one of William Blakes character.
Illustrated with seven charming prints tipped in to the volume.
CONDITION
In publishers original green cloth binding. Held in publishers green cloth slipcase that has some minor shelf wear. Externally, in lovely condition with no shelf wear. Included suite of poems in fine condition. Internally, pages are very bright and clean. Slipcase is in fine condition.
