Continental Reticulated Porcelain Center Bowl, Mounted on Stylized ventes exceptionnelles Bird Forms

Striking 19th century French Empire style porcelain reticulated bowl on stand. Four eagle form supports, each with a scrolled foot sit on a decorated cobalt base, and are positioned on four sides of a central support. The piece is two separate pieces with a central bold running down the center. The bowl is "woven" and is painted varying shades of olive, with gilt accents on the interior, while the exterior is painted shades of russet, also gilded. The base, central column and underside of the bowl are cobalt, with elaborate gilt hand-decorated scrollwork detail. No marks on the underside, printed or incised. The foot is unglazed, as is the underside of the bowl. Please note that the olive and russet accent colors are slightly more intense in the photos than when viewed in person.

The porcelain is in excellent condition. The gilding does show wear, PLEASE study the photos. The matte olive and russet tones that are used are intact. Most of the gilding that accents the basket portion is also in excellent condition.

Measures 13" tall, and the bowl is 12.5" x 11" at the top. The base measures 8" x 6.5". The height of the eagles is 8".
